What We Appreciate, Appreciates

WELCOME!

This is the week of the Thanksgiving holiday here in America.

For my part, I try to begin each and every day of my life from the inspiring and energizing perspective of sincere gratitude.

We all have so much to be grateful for.

When I find myself feeling sad or troubled because there is something that I believe that I need and don’t currently have, I try to return, as quickly as possible, to fully embracing the perspective of gratitude.

The trick is catching the Dark Knight of Want and Despair and his notorious accomplices -fear, self-doubt, and scarcity- before they have taken over the realm of my inner kingdom and robbed me of my peace of mind, creative capacities, and self-esteem.

I have found that this practice helps me to persevere and to make creative use of the resources that I already have.

I am learning to become truly grateful for all of life’s blessings and especially for the challenges that life inevitably brings.

It is in the spirit of deep gratitude for all that life has given me, that I would like to share three quotes that I personally find very inspiring.

I invite you to notice, and be fully present with, the thoughts and feelings that enter your consciousness as you read each one.

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”

Eckhart Tolle

“Too many people under value what they are and over value what they are not”

Source unknown

“He who is not happy with nothing, will not be happy with everything; he who does not cherish the little things, will not be thoughtful of the great things; he with whom sufficient is not enough, is without virtue, for the physical body of man lives only from day to day; if you seek to supply it with what it actually needs, you will still have time meditate, while if you seek to supply it with all it wants the task is without end.”

Attributed to Gautama Buddha

So, what popped up for you as you read these quotes?

I sincerely hope that you found this post inspiring and useful.

I welcome your favorite sayings or quotations about gratitude.

Go out and spread the love.

I am here if you need me.

Hi Ron

“Too many people under value what they are and over value what they are not”

The lack of self-awareness I see in others is easy. This quote has reminded me of my own lack of self-awareness in areas of my life. I am now a little more conscious.
